The U.S. EPA recommends all houses involved in a real estate transaction be tested for Radon, the Second leading cause
of lung cancer in the United States. (US EPA estimates 21,000 deaths per year from household Radon exposure.) Most relocation companies
require a pre-purchase Radon test. HUD and Fannie Mae are also requiring Radon Testing on multi-family dwellings.
Pest Inspections
We have several pest inspection companies that we use to look for wood-destroying insects, such as termites,
carpenter ants, or powder-post beetles and give their certification. We will usually try to have the pest inspection at the time of
the home inspection for the convenience of all parties.
